The Uzbek State University of World Languages (UZSWLU) is pleased to announce the upcoming international conference, “Innovative and Integrative Approaches to the Development of Foreign Languages in a Multilingual Environment,” taking place on May 22, 2024.

This year’s conference boasts the participation of a distinguished delegation from Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar (Unismuh Makassar), Indonesia. Specifically, thirteen lecturers and seven students from Unismuh’s English Education Department will join the esteemed roster of attendees, enriching the conference with their knowledge and fostering valuable cross-cultural exchange.

The conference is held in collaboration with renowned institutions:

• Regional English Language Office for Central Asia (RELO Central Asia) of the American Councils for International Education
• Indiana University Bloomington
• The University of Arizona
• Westminster University in Tashkent

The conference program features presentations, workshops, and roundtable discussions led by global scholars and practitioners. These sessions will delve into innovative and integrative approaches to foreign language development within multilingual environments, exploring key areas such as:

• The use of technology in foreign language learning

• Effective assessment methods for foreign language learning
• The evolving role of foreign languages in the 21st century
